Run, Run as Fast as You Can!

The dentist. Tanner had his cleaning and "inspection" and was deemed 4 cavities. Emma, upon seeing Tanner in the chair and the dentist in a long white coat reminiscent to Dad's (possibly to many pediatric practice exams?) would have nothing to do with it. So, almost 90 minutes later, and with 2 of the 3 running to escape the confines of the dental office and the 3rd crying to be let down. We left. With a sigh (and the receptionist saying for the 5th time, "You have your hands full!") . Outing for the day accomplished. And yet, Tanner still has to have his cavities filled. I'll save that for Ryan on his vacation.

Lacey-
I don't know if you would remember me or not, I'm your cousin Michele (Debbie Bond's daughter). I was so excited when my mom told me you had a blog. My husband and I drove through Louisville in January and I was so disappointed because I couldn't track down your number so we could get together. We are living in Chicago right now and I'm expecting a little boy in October! I love seeing the pictures of your kids- they are beautiful! Well, I hope this means that our families can keep in contact, it has been too long since we have all seen each other. Hope to talk to you soon!

Wow! Sounds like fun! I don't look forward to those days! Don't you love when people tell you that you have yor hands full? Like you don't know that already. I ventured out with my two little ones yesterday by myself for the first time...it was crazy! I can't imagine adding another one to that craziness!

Let me know if you figure out a way to entice them to go. I have a terrible time trying to get David to go to the dentist, since his past is filled with bad dental experiences.

It's called drugs! Christian HATED the Dr.'s or Dentist until I figured out that drugs work miracles. Now he doesn't dread the dental exam. My advice - pay extra for the gas and cocktail when Tanner gets the cavities filled!

Lacey, poor you! I am so glad Izzy is not at that stage yet. Tell Dr. Dad he is giving his kids a complex! :)

Oh no...poor Tanner! I had 4 done when I was like 12... that totally stinks. I hope he is braver than Nathan. :)

Lacey, I completely sympathize, I just took Dote, Sebastian & Sophia last week for cleanings, all in one appointment and it was hectic! Sebastian & Sophia will need fillings, but they were traumatized by just the cleanings! But I agree with Stephanie, gas and cocktail, that's our plan :).

I love the story of the dentist! Do your kids call their dad "Dr. Dad"? Emma calls Jon "Dr. Daddy"!!

Um, I also hate going to the dentist. Just reading that story made me start to hypervenilate. I still have the dentist give me the"funny" gas. So yeah, I guess I'm scared of clowns and dentists! Hey off the subject, but I keep thinking about Ashley. Does anyone have pictures of her babe? What is she up to?

oh wow, I thought we were the only ones with dental maladies. So far this year mackenzie has had 5 cavaties filled. Oh mylanta what a traumatic experience for the whole family. I wish I knew how much pediatric dentists cost, I would have just pulled those teeth and waited for the adult ones to come in. Hope all is well. love nate and ang and the fam

I am definately not looking forward to taking Emma to the Dentist...even if it is her dad! That might possibly make it worst! Good luck with the cavities! I can't believe we never got together when we lived there! Life is WAY too crazy!
