Just check

check, checkn' in.

I didn't respond quickly enough to Emma and the "Helll-lo" left her mouth. The kind of "Helll-lo' that I say. And my sisters says. And it completely stopped me and made me laugh. Oh the things I hope never come out of my mouth to be repeated by my 2 year old.

We went and got flu shots this past week. Ryan was home to help. True fear emerged from Emma provoking Landon's panic and the shell-shock look on Tanner's face. He was stoic though and did not cry a tear. Emma on the other hand? I think she would have ran away from the nurse if she could have. (Mom swears I did that once, but I think she is confusing me with sister #1 Summer. She was there at the time too.) We have to go back for a booster shot for each of them in one month. Oh dear. I will admit that Ryan and I had a nice laugh during the whole event. I like that Ryan sees funny in most things. That is not my strong point.

At this point: Halloween costumes almost ready (check). PIF boxes gone and a distant memory (check). Save-the-Date Postcards for the infamous Bergloff family reunion (almost done... although I think cousin Jess could do them better.) New calling for me (check). That is... Ward Activities Dinner Group Organizer. Pretty fun stuff. I'm just working it out in my mind still but if there are any ideas floating around out there send them my way. (Someone has to know more than me about this-)

Tanner has school pajama day tomorrow and then he is off Friday and all next week. I am actually looking forward to it. Landon is too- he thinks Tanner is the craziest thing around. Oh, you know what's crazy? Watching Landon do sign-language. Thanks to some cousins, via my mom, I have some kid signing movies. Wait til I show you Landon's version. Stay tuned.

I hate PJ day at school! You don't wear your PJ's to work ever- I think that is just a HUGE detraction from learning. (Don't mind me just speaking my mind :)) Tanner is out next week and then again in November? Lots of time off- My kids have the day after Halloween off- Wonder whose idea that was...

Glad to see a new post. I feel your pain with the flu shots--my kids hate them. The best (worst) was the year Easton took a CLOSED FIST SWING at the nurse. He was 4. I'm sure they were thinking CPS. My brother in law--who is a BIG guy, had to hold him down. TOO FUNNY!

The hell-o comment is so funny. I get reminded of things I say too. I guess it's time to start watching every word that comes out of our mouths now that we're mommies. Congrats on your new calling. You'll do great. You need to give yourself more credit. I haven't seen you for years, but from what I can remember you have always had "it" together and I'm sure you'll do great with the activities committee too!

That Hello story is so funny! I can so picture you guys saying it! I love that Landon is signing...Chase started signing at 8 months old, and he still signs at 2 years old! It is so nice to know what they are thinking:)

It is always shocking your hear yourself coming out of your child's mouth. It makes you want to laugh and cry at the same time.

I hope you have a great week with the kids off of school. My boys are out today and tomorrow and that's enough for me. They get bored with too much time at home.

I didn't know they had a calling for ward activites dinner planner girl. You'll make it fun!

Can't wait to see the Halloween costumes. I've got to pull my boxes out and see what the boys want to be from my 50% off stash I got the day after Halloween last year.

Have a great weekend!

Hey - I love your new calling and I love even more that you're out of nursery. :) :) :) They did "Dinner Groups" when we lived in Mankato and it worked out really well, so if you want to hear how that ward did it, I'd be happy to have a chat with you about it. Have a great week! My mom is here this week, so Dave and I are leaving tonight to have a few days off. HEAVEN!!!

Lacey--once again I say it's all about the DNA connection--this chapter in the story has just begun. I sure miss you and those kids--ok Ryan too actually--so when do you think you'll be moving closer?

If you ever want to see how you mother, just watch the oldest try to boss the others around - eye opening. Let's just say that I have changed the way I parent based on those observations. The tricky part is that I have to break the habit in two people - not just me.
