Kentucky and Corn Hole

Yes, "Corn Hole" sounds vulgar. At least to me. But, it's a game or sport or some sort of fanatical thing that causes my neighbors to raise a serious ruckus through the wee night hours. And when I look back on our Kentucky days, Corn Hole will definitely be something regionally linked to those memories. It's as simple as pin the tail on the donkey, all you have to do is get the bag of corn feed in the hole. It's addictive.

My neighbor, Joe as we call him. He's handy. And he's making sets of regulation size and kid sizes for a great price. Ryan has an order in for one of each set. And they will be hauled all over the country I'm certain through our future moves. And people will probably think Ryan's a redneck or something when he invites them over to play. (You can borrow our set, or just get your own from Joe. I can get you his 411.)

This looks like my kind of sport! Right up there with horse shoes (I love that game). No running involved! :)

That's funny. You're right it does sound a little vulger until I read on of course. Look at you, Kentucky Rednecks!

Today Boston was outside for a few hours and I assumed he was playing with Tanner and the boys. But, no, he spent those hours playing corn hole with his friend Joe. I was amazed and he had so much fun. He was so hot and worn out from that hard game, but I think we might have to look in to putting in an order!

I must admit, even after living here for 16 years, this is the first year that I've ever heard the word cornhole, except in a sentence starting with "shut your..."; and even then it was usually a pie hole. I guess hard times make people fall back to their redneck roots or somethin'. It's a serious obsession this year.

Hi Lacey-

Glad to know that your kids are back in school. We start next week.

How can I forget 'the pouch'.I remember the pictures with Landon. My thoughts are very similar to yours. I too can't let a baby cry it out. I also love to swaddle. Alexis and Lauren enjoyed swaddling for a short while and then they didn't seem to like it as much.

I also wanted to comment on corn hole. It is so big here in ohio. Especially on the holidays. You also see the locals playing it and our ward plays it for various church functions.

I wish your family much success during the new school year!
