Do you watch it? "You can't find peace until you find all the pieces," is the pitch.
I just love it and cry and have even caught my husband weeping a tear.
I was mentioning to my LDS friend RuthAnn how much I loved this show. They moved here from Florida. Come to find out they call Troy Dunn (ie- The Locator) & his wife, close friends. They hung out in Florida together. Troy is an LDS bishop and successful businessman and Ruthann and her husband had lunch with him lately at PF Changs. He wrote me a note: (not that you care, but click on it to get a clear read.)
She quietly handed me the note in an envelope while I was working in nursery. When I opened and read it I got so excited. Too bad the male nursery leaders didn't appreciate the note! They had not seen the show. Take a look at how the show started and then Troys favorite reunion:
RuthAnn said he pitched his show to other TV stations. They wanted to dirty and drama the show up more. He wouldn't- and he was right. Some TV executives have had to eat crow. Check it out on WE tv. Thank you Troy Dunn! And RuthAnn! My husband says he's going to frame the note for me as an anniversary present... whatever, I still want the ring. :)

I have never heard of this show before, but now I'm going to hunt it down. There is a huge lack of decent programming now days. Thanks for sharing.
I've seen commercials for this show and have never seen it. What network is it on. I've totally wanted to watch it and now that I've read your post I want to watch it that much more. How cool that he sent you a note.
We used to listen to his tapes for youth when we were young. A few years ago I heard him on the radio doing a talk show about business. I sent him an email and he replied back to me. He told me he was still active in the church and he told me to call into the show sometime. I never did, but I like to think I know someone famous.
He spoke at EFY one year (a long time ago) when I went as a teenager and was my favorite speaker. He wasn't much older than some of us, and I thought he was so hot.:) Those were his beginning days. He's a good guy, and I would have never guessed he would go on to be a such a celebrity.
that was awesome. so touching! how cool you have that note ;)
I am so jealous!
Can Ruthann get a note for me next time? : )
I have never heard of him, let me know what network his show is on.
PS- Cool that you have a personal note from him.
When I get my cable back on I will be looking for this show. Most people don't view WE TV because it isn't mainstream, but they have a few other good shows. What an inspiration. Glad you have a connection and shared!
I'm already hooked. Any reality show that tugs at your heart strings is for me. You should post when and where it's on for your next post. By the way the pics of your kids at the right of the screen are really great!
I love that show! I didnt know he was LDS, but he is such a neat guy! Im totaly jealous you have a signed note!
I just took a minute to catch up on your blog/life...
So I guess this means you wont be joining me in Japan?!?!?!?!?!?
