I made it through our Ward Trunk or Treat. I dragged a couple new-found friends into the decorating mix with me and then my mom and brothers came out to help throughout the night. I promise to NEVER do a trunk or treat on Halloween day ever again. (Maybe that will get me released?) I think we had 400ish people. It was standing room only. I look back at this month and did not make a special dinner for my family or even carve pumpkins. So lame. Once the weekend cleared I looked around my house and thought some wild people must live here! I've been cleaning and putting halloween stuff away and went to add some more to my attic storage and realized, the key is gone. Like I think the baby threw it away. I have a locksmith coming out to break me in. Such a big bummer- I can't wait 6 weeks to find it. All my christmas is up there. Speaking of Christmas, I think I need a bigger break between the Trunk or Treat and our ward Christmas party. Can I change the calendar?

First, You seriously crack me up. Your standards are just so high. I'll bet you family loves you just the same without the pumpkin carving and special dinner.
Second, Now remember that you chose your calling. He's probably going to think you love it so much and will never release you after seeing your work. Good luck with that! You just can't be so awesome or people will take advantage if it.
Third, I love the pirate family, but I didn't see the ship cook or whatever you were. Did you dress up as well. How do you get your kids to all dress in a common theme. My kids would never go for it. I couldn't even get the girls to dress alike this year. Please share your secret.

all I can say is WOW!! all of you look so cute.I wanted to see your costume. Ryan looks so cute! He really does look like Jack, just cuter. all of the kids costumes turned out so cute. I bet your party is still being talked about in all 3 wards. I wish I had 1/100th of your talents.
I am so glad to know that I am not the only person who didn't get around to carving pumpkins this year--It is my favorite part of Halloween, and somehow I ran out of time. . .
