These thing I've been working on...

This past weekend was my ward Christmas party. The youth in our ward put on a Christmas Caroling program and we served cookies and hot cocoa with a bar for any kind of topping you would ever want on top. Santa visited at the end of the night. And, it has been snowing- which I think is perfect for Christmas, but was afraid people would not brave the roads. But they did, and we had a full house.
And this coming weekend, we are hosting and adult dinner party. We are planning on about 15 couples. I really have no idea how this will go. We still feel like the new kids on the block- I'm going to have prep Ryan, "Now, this is so and so and his name is----- and they hunt most the fall." Actually that might confuse us- everyone hunts here. I better figure out a better way to decipher couples. I can't help but feel pangs of homesickness for friends we know. How I would love to spend a night with them.

ps- I specified "light" dinner because I was afraid all these hunters would show up and think, where's the steak? I'm planning on ham with sides and a dessert bar.

what a busy bee you have been lacey. and all the invitations look perfect, and i am sure the evenings will be equally as great and wonderful! love ya!
You NEVER cease to amaze me. I feel like I am barely staying above water with getting the holuday bare minimums done...let alone all that you just listed=) Some day I will hopefully be half the mom, wife and woman you are!
I'd like to RSVP!! Merry Christmas Ryan & Lacey!
Girl, you are AMAZING! And I know that because YOU are involved and doing all this work, that all these events have been perfectly perfect! For the adult party this weekend, can you introduce them to Ryan by telling him what kind of truck they drive? That works around here.
Love your invites. Did you masterfully create those yourself? Someday I will learn that skill :)
Lacey I want to see pics of your nativity. Sounds like it was a great event but probably a relief it's off the TO-DO List. K-your house is decorated so cute. I am going to have to cruise over to Etsy and get some stockings. Our stockings are hatin it! It's funny because the home decor store I work at has a lot of the Halloween decorations you have. We like the same look because those little signs with a newpaper print that say Boo completeley drew my eye. Anyway, I'll end this novel. Have a great holiday!
Your two invitations are beautiful. I know it is probably a TON of work for all this, the creche festival included, but I KNOW they will appreciate your effort. We sure miss all your effort around here. In fact, Melissa was trying to decorate her table for a little gathering last night and she said she kept thinking, "how would Lacey decorate this table?" You always can pull off a great party.
