Lucky Day

This note was left this morning:

The Leprechaun's left us these treasures- and caused a bit more mischief around the house.
Like making our milk green. And everything in our lunch green- even the peanut butter!
Although I tried to tell Landon the Leprechaun left the playdough and art stuff- he kept asking me, "Did you get this at Walmart?" (and Jacks is the one arm bandit around here due to the collar bone, his right had is the good one and doesn't impair his thumb sucking as shown.)
Our St. Patty's Dinner, I strayed from the real deal a bit:
Rosemary Pork Loin and Red Potatoes from the crock pot
Green broccoli
Irish soda bread (rhoades yeast rolls of course!)
Yellow Gold! (jello jigglers)
And lime soda
The best part! IF you were lucky enough, you found a gold chocolate coin in your cake. And, it just so happened, all the kids were lucky. We all cheered when someone discovered theirs. I wonder how long my kids will enjoy this silly stuff for?

Seriously Lacey! You are such a fun Mom-- I'm playing the pregnancy card this year... all my little boys got was green soda and green ice cream for dessert.

Marlene and I drove to Mountain Home today for Kristina's soccer game at Aguirre Park. And thought of you. And wondered where you lived. And wished we had your phone number. And decided we needed to take another road trip to visit you. But only if it doesn't stress you out (no mad house cleaning or anything like that). Just wanted you to know that you were loved and thought of MANY times today!

Lacey, I have to be honest...before you posted this post I went searching through your blog for last years St. Patrick's day post because I loved it so much. We even set our trap like you did! You have once again out done yourself and you look totally beautiful and glowing! I will be back this time next year (and all the holidays in between) to get inspiration again. You amaze me and I miss having your talents just down the street.
