Made it to the pediatric dentist (only 1 "needs to filled "cavity for 3 mouths!), went to my OB for a check-up, but after the hour drive there, and the minimum 90 minutes behind schedule, I said I'd "reschedule". My mom, dear Grandma, can only entertain all the kids so long in the waiting room. Next time call first I tell myself.

We took the kids to Bogus Basin (about an hour away) for tubing. I did not tube, of course. Ryan held onto all the kids' tubes he could as he sped down the hill. Then you are pulled back up the hill by rope and they did the whole thing over and over again. It was chilly! We had brought lunch and ate in the lodge. As for snow, I think Idaho gets a bad rap. We have hardly had snow. Daily averages about 30-40. I think we had colder winters in dear Kentucky.

Oh also, Ryan threw the, "Promise you won't be mad at me?" question my way. To which he confessed he'd left his expensive running shoes on the top of the Suburban at the top of the mountain when he was changing out of his snow clothes. So, I guess they now belong to the mountain. And no, I was not mad, or surprised. Just dreaded his hunt for the "right shoes". It took us 2 trips to Boise and 6 stores or so.

Jackson tries to throw up if we leave him in nursery. Last week I was called to sub for the next few weeks for Landon's sunbeam class. He wants to be back in nursery- go figure. Can't get em in and can't get em out. I ended up just having Landon for Sunbeams, everyone was absent. So he and I and Jackson built a lions den on the table and acted out the story of Daniel. Before I knew it the hour was up, and I wished I could find the energy to play with them all day long and still keep up on everything else.

The playdough, coloring activities, and puzzles have been out in full force. We went to the park one day all bundled up and Emma said, "this is a bad idea mom!". We left 2 minutes later.

Ryan has been on call 24-7. I don't know what happened! I thought life as residents was over ;) Any chest pain that comes into the hospital urgent care has to be screened by him. I guess the Urgent Care docs let someone go home that was having an active heart attack. It hit the fan. And now, the buzz of the iphone wakes us both up. I hear Ryan say. "This is Dr. Williams. uhh. uhh. uhh. Sounds like heartburn... or.... muscle spasm." The things people go to the ER for!

Tanner's on a pre swim team that practices every Friday in the indoor pool on base, he has scouts every Tuesday, Emma has preschool twice a week and dance on Monday.

Ryan and I got away to the temple. On our 11 year anniversary of when we met. We sped home to alleviate the babysitter from destroying our house anymore ;)

And this never happens. Getting all 3 littler ones to coordinate nap time.

This pregnancy

I'll be 16 weeks this week. The gagging has not been as bad this time around. Pregnancy insomnia has tapered off a bit. I'm fat- or is it pregnant people think? I'm itching like crazy- especially the bottom of my feet, and told Ryan "Docta, help me!" He has a patient that comes in all the time, and with a heavy accent says her skin is on fire or that she is being bitten. I used the same accent, he laughed, and told me "please, no" and he gave me some remedies.

I also took the Intelligender urine test. It changed to the blue green color. Meaning boy. Meaning. It's probably more legos over here. And that Emma will be the frosting. On all my cakes. I need to get over the idea that not everyone has a sister. I told Ryan, what if we adopted? And also, said something in the early stages of realizing it's probably a boy, "what's wrong with your sperm?" can you believe I said that ? :)

But, I'm already dreaming of a boys dorm room for our next house. This baby has been missing, as Ryan even pointed out as we count heads. And the kids have not asked us for a dog lately either!

Kendra's Baby Shower

I visit teach a girl who is having her 4th baby. But, her first girl. She earns a shower! Soups and a sweet table. No games. Just gifts and visiting. Nothing too original.

New Year's in California

We left 2 days after Christmas early in the morning to travel to Ryan's parents house just outside Fresno California. We drove through the day there- which was too hard with the kids, and so coming back drove through New Year's eve night. Harder on Ryan, but he's got truck driver blood in his family and I helped a whopping 3 hours.

We played with cousins, Aunt Angela made awesome meals, Jackson and I got a 12 hourish stomach bug that was going around there (not fun), went to the movies, to the park, out for ice cream, Ryan and I got out on a date night with Ang and Nate (Grandma and Grandpa watched all the kids!) Had a bonfire, and overall just loved sitting and visiting with all the family that lives there.

And then, as for these 2 little guys. My Jackson, and Angela's Tate, just weeks apart, and so the same in so many ways. One's a bit fatter, mine, and one talk's like the encyclopedia, her's, but it was fun to see them together.

Christmas Eve & Day 2009

Ryan worked a half day on Christmas Eve and then met us up at my mom's. She made clam chowder and orange rolls, a chocolate cake, and had sugar cookies for the kids to frost for Santa. My grandparents came and my Uncle Marvin and 3 of his children (Chris is the oldest who drove out from Kentucky (still miss you!) with his wife and 2 little children. He is in the Army and redeploys again to Afganistan in the next month.) It was nice to visit with family, some of whom I had not seen in 10 years.

We made it home to finish our traditions; have Family Home Evening, act as Shepard's and hunt for the baby Jesus, and feed the reindeer outside. Ryan had a patient that was admitted and so ran into the hospital before midnight for a short bit, but was home to help play Santa still.

Opening sibling gifts Christmas Eve. When we drew names earlier in the month, with each name that was drawn,they would cheer for each other. "Yah!!! I got Landon!" or "Yah, Emma I have you!"


Santa's deliveries:

Tanner: Star Wars Legos and ships and Wii games

Emma: Doll bed and high chair and doll and purse that I made her

Landon: Battle Force 5 cars, cars, cars and Star Wars ship

Jackson: Shake n' go race track and cars and airplane

My mom and brothers came for Christmas day dinner. Pork Loin, Rolls, fresh green beans, and roasted red potato's. We had sparkling apple juice and marie calendar pies. We played all day. And even got Grandma to sing on the Wii Rock Band game we got.

Christmas Festivities

All things leading up to Christmas.

During Christmas Break:

-we went to the Science Center

-had a playdate with a family of 4 boys

-made Graham Cracker Houses

-played in the snow

- Saw Santa twice (once at Ryan's childrens Holiday Work Party, and once at the Ward Christmas Party)

And lastly, hosted the adult dinner party. We had 16 couples. There was the right amount of food, the dessert table was the best (I bought everything) and I didn't get any great pictures. We had a couple sing a beautiful song, and as soon as the last guest left, Ryan & I high fived and I collapsed. The mess was cleaned up the next day.
